Return to Qu'Appelle Reveries (Blog)

Elevation (The Edge)

Living on the edge

of the silent scourges

all those golden urges

left from my youth...

we rise only to fall

then listen for a call

I deny the proof

standing so aloof

taking time to climb

the cliff of rhyme

your love mimes

this song of mine

Elevated

Contemplated

Complicated

Emancipated

I speak for us

no way to discuss

what is in between

all of my schemes

the flowers bloom

despite impending doom

the awaiting tomb

is really our womb

Elevation

Victimization

Retaliation

Revelation

and the angels tumble

down as I stumble

the quieted rumble

whispering the truth.
